MDTS Courses
MDTS offers a variety of cost effective (25-50% less than other training organizations) personal defense courses. Discount programs are available for small groups, law enforcement and military personnel.
We are available for private and semi-private instruction. If your group, business, department or agency would like to sponsor a course at your location contact us directly. MDTS will provide all instructional staff, materials and all force-on-force equipment necessary for your specific course. As a course sponsor you will be responsible for a safe training area, student tuition, instructor travel and accommodations only.

AR15/M4/M16 OPERATOR WORKSHOP
The MDTS AR15/M4/M16 Operator Workshop is designed for the new rifle owner, individuals who own a rifle but never attended formal training as well as the seasoned operator. In this 3+ hr workshop a solid grounding in safety, practical modifications, maintenance and solid fundamental gun handling skill sets will be presented for this firearm platform.
PERSONAL DEFENSE SERIES
The MDTS Threat Recognition & Management Tactics course provides students with the skills necessary for dealing with violent criminal assault, before it happens. Avoidance when possible is always the best strategy but avoidance is predicated upon ones ability to recognize potential danger. This course emphasizes realistic and effective pre-engagement tactics based upon an in depth understanding of how criminals operate. We must understand the problem, before we can develop solutions. PRACTICAL COMBATIVES SERIES
Through a series of situational awareness drills, verbal challenge, physical boundary setting, default response & basic unarmed technique training, students learn a simple, effective and retainable method of unarmed personal protection. An emphasis is placed on understanding how criminals assault citizens in the real world. Strategies presented enable the citizen to negate criminal assault tactics through verbal challenge and/or direct action (pre-emption). TACTICAL FOLDING KNIFE SKILLS
The MDTS Tactical Folding Knife Skills curriculum is designed for the lawful folding knife owner who carries a folding knife for personal defense. A solid grounding in safety and fundamentals of the folding knife are presented with a heavy emphasis on the student’s ability to access, deploy and manipulate the folding knife while multi-tasking or under the stress of close range assault. EDGED WEAPON COMBATIVES
This course is designed for the citizen, law enforcement officer or military serviceman who chooses to carry a tactical folding knife (TFK) or fixed blade knife as an everyday tool, for personal defense or job specific needs. The EWC series is a contextually based program of robust edged/improvised tool personal protection and combative concepts, techniques and tactics. COMBATIVE PISTOL SKILLS SERIES
The MDTS Pistol curriculum emphasizes three critical elements of personal protection shooting: Mindset, Skill-at-Arms, and Tactics.The Combative Pistol Skills curriculm is designed for the new handgun owner, individuals who have owned a handgun but never attended formal training as well as the seasoned operator. A solid grounding in safety and fundamentals of gun handling is presented with a heavy emphasis on the students ability to manipulate the handgun while multi-tasking under stress. This is a fast paced, challenging series of courses comprising 3+ days of training. For logistical and student time management purposes these courses are broken into 1 day courses in most cases consisting of (2) - four hour modules of instruction (i.e. CPS 1&2). The MDTS Carbine curriculum emphasizes three critical elements of personal protection shooting: Mindset, Skill-at-Arms, and Tactics.The Combative Carbine Skills curriculm is designed for the new rifle owner, individuals who have owned a rifle but never attended formal training as well as the seasoned operator. A solid grounding in safety and fundamentals of gun handling is presented with a heavy emphasis on the students ability to manipulate the carbine platform while multi-tasking under stress. This is a fast paced, challenging series of courses comprising 3 full days of training. For logistical and student time management purposes these courses are broken into 1 day courses in most cases consisting of (2) - four hour modules of instruction (i.e. CCS 1&2). COMBATIVE SHOTGUN SKILLS SERIES
The MDTS Shotgun curriculum emphasizes three critical elements of personal protection shooting: Mindset, Skill-at-Arms, and Tactics. The Combative Shotgun Skills series is designed to start you off on the proper path to fighting with a shotgun. An effective and efficient platform in which to fight with a shotgun is introduced & utilized. This class is ideal for home defense with your smoothbore. It is set up for the Remington 870, 1100, 1187 and Mossberg 500 and 590 platforms but other platforms can be used in the class.

CLOSE QUARTER TACTICS
Close Quarter Tactics is a context-based training experience where students will become familiar with the paradigm of criminal assault. A heavy emphasis is placed on integration of skill sets to include empty-hands, edged weapons, and firearms into a seamless package to counter that paradigm. This progressive training consists of live fire training and training against a resistant adversary/s in a real time environment. CLOSE QUARTER ENGAGEMENTS: FORCE-ON-FORCE SKILLS & DRILLS
The MDTS Close Quarter Engagements (CQE) course provides students with proactive and reactive combative skill sets required at statistically common gunfight distances ranging from 0-10 ft. Following an integrated training model this course combines verbal and physical management of unknown contacts, practical unarmed combatives, concealed carry pistol skills with skill building force-on-force drills and scenarios. The CQE curriculum will provide trainees with immediately accessible skill sets and a variety of defensive options within a use of force continuum.
